Is there a way to make this box un-checked by default? Thanks!

This forum is seriously very very bad

From the forums, click the “Community” tab on the top of the page (or just click here ). Then click “Edit Profile” (next to your avatar photo). Then click the “Site Options” tab. There you can turn off email notifications.
