IIRC, it’s all about the sole entrepreneur when it comes to gathering resources, be it capital, labor etc, to provide something of possible value to the consumer. However, how is collaboration dealt with? Let’s say there are a group of 2 friends just randomly chatting, and come up with an idea. They both decide to move it forward, divying responsibilities. Aren’t they both entrepreneurs?

Now extend this to 3, 5, 10, etc… people. If no one leader emergers, but stuff gets done spontaneously, at what point is it no longer entrepreneurship?

Jean-Baptiste Say, a French economist is believed to have coined the word “entrepreneur” first in about 1800. He said an entrepreneur is “one who undertakes an enterprise, especially a contractor, acting as intermediatory between capital and labour.”
