I posted it on revleft to see what would happen.

They don’t conflict each other.

Using environmentalism to support mass sterilization will reduce the cost of maintaining the welfare state!

Let’s hope they pursue something like that. That would probably consume all of their political capital and they would probably still fail lol.

In the past I’ve suggested only allowing welfare for the first child as a reform, even some of my friends responded negatively to that. But there is no way people would support something like sterilization, I could imagine the environmentalists and redneck white supremacists actually agreeing on this.

It seems like there is a pretty decent discussion going on over there.

Al Gore’s solution was sending condoms to Africa.

A better one would be to just cut food aid that is keeping the continent overpopulated and causing famines, genocidal wars and mass emigration. But condoms would help too.

To the OP, it is true that the premises of welfares and environmentalism clash violently, but the fact that no one notices is just one more testament to the sorry state of logical consistency.

They don’t conflict with each other when the goal of both is to transfer wealth and power from the individual to the State.

Additionally, not all aspects of the welfare state actually encourage people to have and raise children e.g. Planned Parenthood

I loved the post by the Marxist who said that environmentalism is a “libel against humanity” and that environmentalists, Malthusians, and Green Party-ists are actually rooted in nihilistic anti-human thinking, and only take “socialist pretensions” to advance their oppressive cause.

It’s times like these when I think that real Socialists are awesome.

I love how he clearly explained that the original evil roots of environmentalist thinking are very very far from Socialist thinking.

Well it looks as thought they ban people for not conforming to a particular ideology, I was not even condescending or rude.

They have now quarantined my thread into the dissenters section.
