Estate Tax

This in regards to a post I read a few months ago, regarding a paradox of the richest in the country who oppose the repeal of estate taxes. I believe it has to do with a very special interest group lobby, The Insurance Industry. Life insurance is quite often is sold to wealthy individuals to “protect” their heirs/beneficiaries from estate taxes. As an isured you will pay premiums and add additional riders to your policies as your estate grows. With a growing estate, tax obligations to your heairs increase as well. If you ever listen to any of the socialists in the insurance industry scream about how much revenues would be lost if the estate tax repeal would materialize. Insurance industry would lose much of its business if the repeal were to ever happen. How many peaople would add these riders to policies if they knew that there will be no estate tax. so, instead the insurance lobby promotes the idea that hard working, income tax paying people should be further punished after their death. So they rather breed a society of debtors and spendors, who dont want their heirs to pay 55% of the estate on top of already paid in 33% income tax. So therefore, the richest man in US, no names to be mentioned can easily be tracked to his large stakes in the insurance industry. Ideas,Comments, opinions, and critics are welcome
