On one side, I feel like private companies could probably handle their budget better than the government. I say ‘probably’ meaning that they will.
But, on the other side, I feel like there’s a reason that the Founding Fathers put that into the Constitution, just like they put “make any Thing but gold and silver Coin a Tender in Payment of Debts” into the Constitution.
Not trying to change the subject, but I had a question - did the government ever deficit spend before the Federal Reserve was established? I know the Civil War was clearly faught before 1913, but I wasn’t sure if we were able to economically afford it without deficit spending.

well, they also gave themselves the power to tax people…
just think about that…with a quick stroke of a pen…they gave themselves the power to steal from every person who lived in the colonies…
that takes alot of guts and alot of nerve to pull that off…and make people believe it…and follow it
I’m pretty sure they weren’t trying to take people’s money away for their own profit or simply for redistribution of the wealth. Payments for the military, the post office, etc. were valid reasons to collect taxes, whether or not you specifically believe that being taxed is ‘right’. They were worried about the federal government becoming too strong, so to say that it takes a lot of guts is taking away from their own character and not that of the government.
the people writing the Constitution were looking to grab more federal power not less.

whats the point in worrying about them becoming too powerful when you give them the power to steal? they sort of already gave themselves all the power they will ever need.
What about rural locations?They might be able to make it cheaper for urban locations but people living in rural locations might take a hit when it comes to receiving mail. Do you have any examples of this working anywhere else?
