Any of you in the Portland, OR. metro area interested in having monthly or bi-monthy meetings to discuss and be active?

It might be difficult find Austrian types, but I have met a couple Friedmanite types. There are also some Ron Paul supporters, though I don’t know if they understand his economic views or not. It would probably be easier to start a libertarian group and then introduce Austrian economics into it.
I’m in the Portland area… This would be freakin’ awesome! I know a guy that might be interested to attend, too. Once a month is a good start, we could meet up at a McMenamin’s, Rock Bottom Brewery or you-name-it. There are so few people that fall even within a million ideological miles of Austrianism, especially here in the Northwest, it will be a good way to preserve sanity.

I’m on the other side of the Pacific, but it just had me thinking: has there ever been a general thread on these forums where we can find forumites living in the same area? Stalking aside, it could be useful.
I’m interested, but I am busy right now. I will try to keep it in mind.
OP: Can you create an entry for Portland, OR? Then let’s decide on a time and place to meet up.

I’ll be in-and-out of portland quite a bit over the next few months. If I can make it, I’d love to come.
How about we name a time and place several weeks out, make an announcement on the forum, and see who shows up. Then once we get a group together I’ll put something up on the Miseswiki. The first meeting could be very informal, just see who’s out there. I’ll think of a place, call ahead, and let you guys know. Sound good?
