Free market charity? Would this be fair?

Here’s this simple analysis I’m trying to discover. In 2009 the US government took in $2.1 trillion of our money.

GDP is $14.4 trillion.

The US gave $295 billion to charity in 2006.

I know, it’s not much of an analysis, but what do you think?

That alone is enough to put 30 million people on 10,000 dollar a year welfare soooo…

Forced charity is not charity at all. It’s extortion plain and simple.

It wasn’t forced charity that I looked up when I said that the US gave. I meant the US population gave. I don’t think that included things like welfare and social security.
