Very disturbing when our government is ordering protest videos be censored. But then again, our government seems to be doing criminal activity right out in the open now. Right in front of everyone’s eyes. I guess it makes it easier for people to ignore when its right in your face. Its more intimidating.
Is there a legal basis for any/all of these “requests”?
People will prefer to go to sites which don’t censor the protest videos. Maybe those sites will get pulled, but not before the videos spread to other sites. Defeating the internet is more difficult than Hercules defeating the Hydra.
You’re right about that, Nielsio. I don’t know what the consequences are for non-compliance - do you?
My point is, if you’re always complying with government “requests”, how will there ever be any resistance? To quote my avatar, at some point we must say “The line must be drawn here! This far, no farther!”
the more major video sites there are, the harder it becomes for government to shut them all down. And if they do, the more obvious their tyranny becomes.
