Is there anything less productive than what the collectivist anarchists do with “activism” and “protest” against wars in places like Washington DC and other places that they rally? Usually they make themselves look crazy by somehow tying in Starbucks and environmentalism and free trade and capitalism and “privatization” (as if the publicly run genocide/imperialism is more noble!) with all the foreign wars they oppose. Groveling before them “please stop before we get more signs!”
There is nothing more degrading than asking the government to give back more rights or to ask them for anything. As if they are our parents and we are disgruntled children. As has been demonstrated, none of them care. None of them have any reason to care other than perhaps alter their lies in order to appeal to the masses like so many John Kerrys and Lyndon Johnsons.
It seems like the collectivist anarchist movement needs to organize itself into coherent messages, if not to join in talks with all types of anarchists (including ourselves). The collectivist anarchist movement really depends on a few individual speakers who have their stuff together (like Howard Zinn and Noam Chomsky). The rest seems to be a rabble of a bunch of unrelated concerns and strategies. No wonder they get so frustrated and think the best idea is to blow up property or kill people like president McKinley (ok, so McKinley was not much missed!). The best anarchists today (and most respected) are ironically those who don’t do any property damage or rallying. But sell books on the free market.
So incoherent are the collectivist anarchists that often times they share in these rallies with “progressives” and state-socialists without much worrying about the difference of solutions. And as has been pointed out by Chomsky’s appeal for more federal power, sometimes they don’t have different solutions.
It seems like the police state feeds off such types of discontent (throwing rocks and wearing do-rags over the mouth) the same way as the German state benefitted from the Reichstag fires and Abraham Lincoln did the attack on Fort Sumter. And the average person seeing them on the news then thinks less of collectivist anarchism they are trying to put forth as a solution as well as anarchism in general.
I see no reason to protest the government at all or try and fight them. Much less to grovel before them for rights. They can only try and manipulate us if they don’t outright kill dissenters. The only thing really to do is to go about life working and enjoying one’s self as a protest against their hegemony. Unlike the socialists, progressives, social democrats, etc. our ideas don’t include replacing one thing for another. The wars, the abuse on liberty, the torture, the lies, etc. can only end when they either don’t have the money or they don’t have anyone paying attention to their lies (even to dispute them).
