I was wondering what a good libertarian resource on the failures of gun control were. Could someone point me in the right direction? Google isn’t helping enough for this presentation I have to do.
Also, it would help if it was done by scholars or had scholarly research done.
Basically, a source that analyzes the gun control stats with resources listed would be best.
Compare # of wars before guns were invented vs. after. More relevant and easier.
Look up: John Stossel’s Myth: Gun Contrlo Reduces Crime and Penn & Teller’s BULLSH#T! On Gun Laws. Both contain excellent information, and are very libertarian in nature.
They are on YouTube. Find them before Google’s support of “net neutrality” takes them away.
John Lott’s More Guns Less Crime is by far the most important book on the subject. He does a statistical study on the effect of concealed handgun laws using the largest data sets of any study, and controls for more variables than any other study. It is detailed, rigorous, and dry. I found some of his findings a bit surprising.
