Hayek's head

Is it just me or is his head really small?

did he have some disease? how did those brains fit in his little head?

Maybe that 's why he wasn’t an anarchist. [:D]

Maybe he was just really tall.

Mises showed continuously by his actions that he held Hayek in a much higher esteem as a scholar than he did Rothbard. So, if this guy could outdo Rothbard with a tiny head, well here we have the next step of human evolution

Regardless of people’s views on Rothbard and Hayek, this must be one of the best quotes I’ve seen recently on these forums:

This was just post #4 and Rothbard is already mentioned in yet another thread completely unrelated to him. So I’m not so sure about the above assertion.

Rothbard’s head was pretty big.

Was his brain preserved in the interests of science? It would’ve been fun to figure out what neurological structure made him so smart.

Maybe Hayek developed such efficient thinking strategies when he was a kid that his brain didn’t need all the hardware, so it never grew. Kind of like how an efficiently written program uses less processing power, RAM, etc..

What even is this thread

It is very simple. Hayek was smart but his head was very small (compared to his body). Now one might say there is no scientific proof that small heads cause one to be smart. But I prefer the positivist approach and will be using some regressions.

Intelligence = constant + x(size of head)

running my model on Hayek head gave me the following, x = -10. Therefore as your head grows smaller you become smarter!

It just became two memorable quotes form this thread![:D]

“grows smaller”? There is a certain poetry to that phrase.

Reading threads like this is relieving.
