Hey everyone,
I just started writing for Examiner.com as my town’s Libertarian Examiner, and I’m waging a one-man campaign against a local political action committee lobbying to increase local property taxes. Their goal is to drain more money from their private-sector hosts so that they don’t have to lay off any education bureaucrats or cut their pay. The PAC is “working closely” with the local superintendent of schools who has allowed them to do outrageous stuff like sell pro-referendum T-shirts in school offices and hold fund-raising events at high school basketball games. I’m trying to point out the gross hypocrisy of these non-taxpayers’ lobbying for higher taxes. Here are links to my first two articles:

Whatever help any of you can give me would be much appreciated. It would be great if a bunch of you would post economically-sophisticated positive comments in the comment sections of my articles so that local readers can see that I’m not the only person who thinks that this whole thing is really shady. I would also really appreciate any suggestions of specific books, articles, etc. that I can reference to really smash the fallacious arguments for why higher property taxes will “benefit” the community; e.g., high quality public schools increase property values, everyone benefits from a well-educated populace, etc. And of course, all criticism of my lines of argumentation, approach to the issue, writing style, etc. are more than welcome!
