We all know politicians are obsessed with themselves. They want their spot in history. They want glory. They want greatness.
But we know the real effect they have on civilization, and it is entirely destructive. And in fact, it’s usually true that the more glory they earn, the more destructive they’ve been.
For some stupid reason this makes me smile. I’m not sure why. These guys usually get what they want. They get their spot in the history books.
Maybe my mirth is from reflecting on it all from the vantage point of reality. They think they’re great, but they are the opposite. Maybe there’s some bizarre afterlife where everybody gets perfect knowledge, and that would necessarily mean they must feel firsthand all the lives they’ve ruined in their quest for glory. Hey, maybe that’s what Hell is!
I don’t know, this post is sort of random. But I thought I’d share.
The political class finds favor now and in history because of the twin towers of the news media that bless larger government, more state power outside and inside the country. Then after the media is finished the government provided historians pick up where they left off. And they are even more in bed with state power and worship as the state pays their bills. So you have the elite of the power elite being deified as they consolidate power and use it to modify the most intimate things people do.
lol, what a dummy. After all these years he still doesn’t understand that won’t show up on the photo too? And that guys runs their whole country. #facepalm.
