I’ve wanted to be around or form one of these types of groups for over a year now.I’m in south england (west sussex) by the coast but too far from london. Anyone have any ideas or suggestions? there’s the possibility of me forming one at my college though I’m not sure how succesful that would be -my college just doesn’t seem that kind of place at all!
I thought about a general group of an-caps,classical liberals and vague free marketeers.I’ve thought of something like the cobden club.
I am the President of a chapter of Young Americans for Liberty at Kansas State University. Its a pretty simple set-up for the group. Three officers currently; we meet about once a month. We’re starting a newsletter this month. We were going to have Michael Badnarik speak on campus next month until his unfortunate heart attack. There are about 10 of us in the group.
We use Facebook and e-mail to communicate most of the time. The YAL website offers a fairly good way to get people together, also, but FB seems to be the best way, as most people check that somewhat regularly.
We try to do that, yes, if it’s interesting for a larger audience.
