While enjoying the last few debates, I went to the window and witnessed two traffic accidents (I live on Main Avenue). There are several critically wounded people.
How would a 100% market society deal with the reckless drivers who caused such accidents?

Presumably their insurance rates would go up, their insurance company would compensate the injured parties, or if there is no insurance, some agreement to compensate would be worked out.

I have always assumed so. The point of my posting this is precisely how would the specifics of an alternative system be.

In a stateless society roads will be private. The road owner will deny access to anyone known to be reckless.
The present system assigns fines and sometimes will temporarily ban poor drivers. But even the worst drivers usually get to drive again. If roads were private there would be no reason for an owner to ever allow someone with a history of bad driving to use his road again. So the incentive to drive responsively would be higher.
In a 100% market society markets would dictate everything. If there is a reckless driver they would be subject to the proper fines, fees or suspensions levied by either their insurance company or the private authority that dictates the rules of the private roads. The market would dictate what those should be and would help to regulate the senselessness that some drive with. Drivers would be able to feel safe and like their money is being spent on the correct things, and not the false promise of hope and advancement with no actual showing of it.
I am not assuming anything. A member of my family was at the window and saw the car zig-zagging before crashing onto a tree and cupsizing. Passengers had to be retrieved from the outside.

Reckless drivers would have committed an offense similar to rape. They would have interfered with someone elses personal rights, thereby having committed a crime. Was this question actually asked?
