How to introduce a fundamentalist muslim to AE and libertarianism?

You think Cortez’s acts were acts of defense?

They were for the hundred thousand native auxiliaries that fought for him.

where can I read about how his army was one of ‘defense’ ?

Both where megalomaniac and destructive wars. I really don’t see how Muslims (or any other monotheistic religion believers) can claim to ‘preach peace’. At least no one in the ancient pagan world would maim you in “one of my god’s name”.

It certainly does tell the believers to seek out and conquer the unbelievers. It instructs them on what to do when they surrender, and what to do if they do/do not convert. The choice for those who do not convert but refuse to engage in the theft that is jizya: death. Murder. It does not have to be in self defense. All it needs is to be against whoever is considered an unbeliever. This is not unique to Islam, but is shared by other monotheistic religions. See for example the slaughter of the Amalakites, who were massacred because of a history of raids on the Jews and their refusal to become Jews.

You engage in the art of Taqqiya. If you can say that the Quran does not have offensive bloodly violence in it, even perpetrated by your epileptic prophet, then I suppose that there can be no discussion if your goal is to deny it all. I do find it funny that you insist that the hadith are unsubstantiated; your main text is exactly the same way. It is about as accurate as the Bible, which is to say that it isn’t much at all. I care because I do not like being lied to by the religious of all kinds. Christians make excuses for the evils of the Bible and deny it. It is only natural for you to do so as well. I regard Islam, Christianity, Judaism, paganism, Hinduism, Buddhism, Shinto, Jainism, Sikhism, and all other manner of worship as very powerful delusions that cloud our judgement and enable us to perpetrate great evil. They seize the state and persecute, engage in warfare, and blind the people. That is why I care.

9:123 O ye who believe! Fight those of the disbelievers who are near to you, and let them find harshness in you, and know that Allah is with those who keep their duty (unto Him).

9:12 And if they break their pledges after their treaty (hath been made with you) and assail your religion, then fight the heads of disbelief - Lo! they have no binding oaths - in order that they may desist

More lack of violence can be found if desired.
