Human action? Two-headed baby in Brazil

How does this fit into human action? Should we be examining the connections of the brains to the body’s muscles? Is there utility here?

This seems to push the limits of philosophy a bit

It also brings into question self-ownership and ownership of private property.

What’s the connection to human action, Wheylous? don’t follow you.

p.s. the poor thing will probably die soon

Yeah, not sure exactly what this has to do with human action, although it sounds like you’re more interested in implications of conjoined twins for self-ownership.

For the latter topic, I think the clear path is to go back to what is “inalienable” to the individuals involved. In a general case, the shared organs/body really are a common, inalienable property between the two.

This reminded me of a documentary I seen a few years back. I’ve found part of it on youtube

  1. What does this have to do with the science spelled out by Mises and Menger? By looking at the natural biology of the person, it seems you are more interested in scientism. Also, what does utility have to do with anything?

  2. If one of the 1st thing you thought of when looking at this baby way “how does it fit into libertarian ethical theory” - than that ought to show the vacancy of most metaphysical musings and ponderings. That’s all I’ll say about that.

More interesting:

this baby only has one set of organs below the head (I think?) - if that is the case I have no idea how it will survive, nor do I know how it has survived thus far. Any guesses? Any other cases of a child survivng with a shared heart with a polycephalic human?

I have a few guesses how to make certain parts of the body overcompensate, but no real answers.

I tried once to think about transhumanism, connected brains and implications of human action/praxeology with them. I gave up.
