"I am a socialist"

[Citation needed]

Yup. People who form a coercive monopoly of justice and arbitration over a given area of land.

Which is why those of us with a volantarist disposition seek to reduce the size of and decentralise those institutions that can become corrupted.

To paragraph number:

1 - a government monopolizes the power to force immorality upon its citizens.

2- ok, a history lesson.

3- I never stated I knew “progressive tax”. Maybe it has another name? Define please.

4- How would a government do anything for the benefit of the people for any action a government makes it must force other people to do it for them? Ask yourself this. How does any government man or woman get food on their table? Do they buy the food from their own production?

5- sorry this got emotional for you, sorry you feel this way

6- good samaritan would do the trick

thanks

I replied to the post Pskapompos wrote at 3/30 3:29AM. Sorry it didn’t stick with my last post in which I went paragraph by paragraph to respond.

Socialist anarchism tends to put greater emphasis on the furtherance and implementation of equality, non-discrimination and worker-based ownership of the means of production while at the same time rejecting the state as a means to achieve that end. That’s a very vague definition. You’ll find that everyone has their own little additions or addenda.

The emotional upheaval of ama gi was about the fact that if you use socialist rhetoric with libertarian theory in mind, you’re still saying the same thing. Actually, according to socialists’ very premises, they are wrong to employ totalitarian state control of every aspect of human life to further their cause. That’s what ama gi pointed out, in quite a flamboyant manner, but I liked it.

And welcome to these forums, wilderness, always great to see new faces coming in.

ok, so a bunch of individual people meeting together with similar political ambitions. Politics is just not an act of the state. Tribes had politics too. I’m not against politics necessarily.

Are they really the same? If I’m a socialist anarchist, then I identify myself with a group/society. The libertarian way identifies with the individual. Now the individual can identify with a particular group/society, but doesn’t necessarily have to. Maybe your saying all libertarian’s identify with one group/society?

Thanks.

Does this self-congratulating nonsense make you feel better? Are you even aware of how libertarians use and direct their arguments? What of the dislike of many libertarians of the rich who grew so by way of the state? Or their opposition to the failout? Yeah, you’re looking pretty ignorant right now… As for the delusion that you’re “helping” the “poor” again this is just more egomaniacal nonsense.

Exactly. That is a matter-of-fact. You want to use violence against ppl who don’t agree with your vision of utopia.

Well, I was fed with government assisstance while my father worked 12hrs a day 6 days a week. Would you rather I starved? It always comes back to right wing disdain for helping people with absolutely no connection to them.

Ok. My cousin needs to go to college and will probably have to use public assistance. Im asking anyone on this site with the means to help keep him from forcibly confiscating your wealth. This is your chance to show that we can do this without the government. This is your chance to do it voluntarily.

If you would like to donate to his college fund, please contact me. If we can get together and do this for all the poor people of society, we wont need to have the government do it.

We know. It’s all about you.

Oh Really ?? He needs to go to college ? Maybe he also needs to make enough money to pay for it.

Have you read any libertarian books? Also, did you learn how to garden? And if the government didn’t warp the economy your father wouldn’t have had to work so hard.

I can’t afford it. I’m already paying for yours. But maybe if the economy wasn’t so warped and the government didn’t tax us to pay for these bailouts, and didn’t make our dollars become worth only .04 cents of the one dollar it was in 1913, my dollar would be worth more and I could help, but the federal reserve being a charter by the Federal Government since 1913 (Federal Reserve Act of 1913) keeps printing all this money devaluing our dollars. So the dollar had the purchasing power of a dollar in 1913 and now this dollar is only worth 4 cents… it’s lost purchasing power. so on and so forth the government continues to warp the market.

Well, since he doesnt have a trust fund, how do you propose he makes that money? Just working will take him years to save up enough. By that time it would probably be too late do any real good, as far as providing quality employment is concerned.

How exactly are you going to stop the state from stealing our money if we want to help your cousin? That is your side of the bargain, remember - that we don’t have our property forcibly confiscated.

Your point being?

Yeah the government messed this up a long time ago… the economy has been warped by the government for some time now and we are feeling its disastrous effects.

Excellent point FreedomisYellow! I was trying to say this, but you said it with great clarity. [Y]

And really you dont think the reason the FED fails is becuase it privatized our monetary policy and put it in the hands of greedy self-serving bankers? Do you really think that before government everyone could have gotten free college education? It wont happen. Becuase whereas there are many people more than willing to pitch in for the good of everyone, the ones who would do the most good have you people to get their back and justify to them why their greed is good.

And please lets stick to debate here. If I ask a question its because I want a serious answer.

You’re the one who made this personal, so don’t reprimand others for sidetracking… you still have to deal with the fact that the Fed is basically a legally granted monopoly. Not very “private”, now is it? BTW please could you present a text arguing that what the banksters did is fine based on libertarian principles? Because I think you’re rather clueless.

The Fed was given a monopoly by the government. Do not confuse what we have with “privitized money.” They would not have any power without the state backing them up.

Of course not? Nothing is free.

There is no “good of everyone,” and Greed is good. That is the beauty of capitalism - those who are the most greedy must provide for the needs of others in order to gain wealth. Unless they can use the state to take from others.

Please, read about libertarian beliefs before coming here to troll. You keep using irrellevant strawmen and all it is doing is displaying your ignorance.

you are a crazy troll, that is fo’ sho’.
