I can't understand the hypocricy of both liberals and conservatives.

You would think that after learning so much about economics in school that people would be less ignorant of economic fallacies that bely socialism and bely government interference on industry.

It’s as if people say one thing and then think another in reality. They say they’re against socialism and then they’re for all the things that socialism represents.

Then, the right is also ignorant of the costs of CO2 emissions and wants to deny everything so that things can go on as they are, because, they think that somehow a reduction in emissions will reduce profit margins. Stuff like this is why people are ignorant: you have the people on the left wanting free handouts to everyone, and then, you have people on the right destroying the Earth.

I don’t honestly understand how the left and the right can contradict themselves so much…

Conservatives say they’re for freedom… then they want to ban gay marriage… they’re really just a representation of how things have been…

The left wants positive things but they want excessive government regulation and they fail to realize that they will not get what they want with big government…

I don’t understand why the public thinks that with their contradictions in their logic that somehow the good things of their ideology will outweigh the bad. It makes little sense to me… I think the public if they were smarter would certainly be aware of the effect that their policy would have on the population, but, it seems that people are ignorants of the effects of their policies, and, they only care about the cause their policy is for and justifying it.

I don’t know about you, but I can’t stand the hypocricy of liberals and conservatives. Conservatives are for individual freedoms but deny moral freedom, liberals are for individiual freedom but deny economic freedom because they think wealthy people are somehow evil.

None of it all makes sense to me… I hope I’m not the only one.

welcome to the hell of being a libertarian! [:)]

Always having to point out the inconsistencies of the political class.

That was my rough draft, but my final looks much better with the help of Nerditarian and others here at mises.

You’ll get a kick out of this:

Well, someone is obviously ignorant of economics.

wow, I am in the georgetown school of business. I didn’t know we had any libertarian professors here. Right now I have a socialist teaching “ethical dimensions of the economy” and an employee at the Fed teaching me global financial markets. I need to take a class with this guy…

Was wondering about this myself. How in the world would they not reduce profit margins?

If it didn’t reduce profit margings, they’d have done it already.

I’d love to see the final. If you don’t mind I’d like to post the link to another message board that I go to quite a bit. We seem to always be getting into deep political discussions and I think your piece would fit rather nicely.

Yeah defenitaly, Id love that. ill send you a friend request and a private message with it. Let me know the message board you post it at, id like to join.
