do the rules of this forum even support the purpose of this website?
i know at least there have been debates about the merit of certain points such as respecting intellectual property, the website has posted articles about intellectual property not even existing. how much of the rules are conformed to usa law rather than debating the merit of usa law?
Just because some people at this site do not believe in the validity of copyright law does not mean that everyone else feels the same. Mises could be slapped with a cease and assist letter because someone posted copyright material on their site. See what I mean?
I highly suggest you reconsider this point. The method of communication has epistemological effects on a message. That is why degrees or certifications are put on paper as opposed to just spoken out loud once acquired. Not accounting for the characteristics of communication on the internet will only lead to frustration and the type of silliness we are witnessing at present.
I don’t think you’ve seen enough of JJ’s behavior, and I think you’ve seen too little of my own.

The purpose of this forum is foster intelligent comment and debate. Hurling abuse is not conducive to that which is obvious given the forum rules; if it is allowed it especially put off new members from joining particularly when they hold a heterodox (in the context of the forum) postion This is the code of the property owner LvMI. If you violate them they are well within their rights to turf them off your property- i.e. perma ban.
I would encourage courteous PMs but obviously they can’t be modded and cause no immediate harm outside the participants so practicably the rules on PMs are laxer; however this does not mean that anything goes.
On the subject of the Szasz lock that was purely my decision. It turned into a serious bitch fest all round so I locked it. I do let some things slide, before people get the impression I’m a long lost relative of Uncle Joe, but personal attacks and abuse are not acceptable.

If you have a problem with another member PM a mod (given who tends to be here these days would be me, Muff or Vive) or stick it in the old Member Issues sections and deal with it there. Airing the dirty washing in public is not good form. Autolykos may seem to be highly strung sometimes but he’s clearly wanting to wrok within the forum rules which you are deliberately violating and encouraging others to break. Consequently you’ve got a Three Day Temp Ban.

Please remove your a Request to John James. It gives a bad impression of you to others and since more modding is now taking place for the first time since Danny Sanchez ceased being active it is unnecessary.
As may be obvious this thread will now be locked too and also graveyarded (within a few days allowing the relevant members to read this post- threads like these do not give a good impression). Any problems with this PM, don’t start a thread about it.
Now let’s head over to the other thread and discuss Thomaz Szasz who I think is a very interesting theorist despite my limited knowledge of him.
