The Mrs. & I attended a medical symposium last weekend that was very encouraging regarding the integration of western medicine and alternatives.
I do not know if there are other groups or organizations like this in other parts of the country but it is new for the St. Louis area. The radical nature of the thoughts expressed at this conference reminded me of what it must have been like at the inception of the Ludwig von Mises institute.
I had a couple private discussions concerning health care as an economic issue rather than a moral issue and the time preferece aspects of incentives vs. perception. The individuals I spoke with appeared to receive the perspective as an epiphany. I was very encouraged by the what I saw and heard of those in attendance..
