From your organizations website I learned about the IHS Summer Internship 2009 opportunity in . I am very interested in the opportunity to further my experience within the libertarian movement, and I believe that my education and political background are appropriate for the position.
Throughout the recent presidential election, I volunteered for the Ron Paul Presidential Campaign Committee as a meetup organizer. In fact, I was the youngest organizer world wide with over 1,000 Ron Paul for President Meetup Groups. I have since organized the group through a transition to the Amarillo Campaign for Liberty Meetup Group. I work within my community, along with my group members, to promote and defend the great American principles of individual liberty, constitutional government, sound money, free markets, and a noninterventionist foreign policy, by means of educational and political activity. Having studied Ludwig Von Mises and Austrian economic theory, I have a firm understanding of economic freedom and its importance. In addition, I have studied Congressman Ron Paul’s writings such as Challenge to Liberty, Foreign Policy of Freedom, and The Revolution: A Manifesto. Throughout my research I also gained respect for social tolerance and foreign noninterventionism. Also, having completed several college level classes, I gained a firm grasp of Business Computer Information Systems (BCIS), which familiarized me with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
