Yeah I’ve seent that before. I remember reading somewhere that anybody who appeared on Morton Downey’s show was coached up to get confrontational and emotional. That was, after all, how he attracted his viewers. Take, for example, his characterization of libertarianism as “you have the right to kill your 4-year old daughter.” That comment was clearly an attempt to be provacative for the sake of inspiring emotion. Downey’s show was the progenitor of Jerry-Springer nonsense.
that show was terrible. Its incredible how against Ron Paul everybody was. I feel like in some ways the pro-drug war folks are spouting the same arguments, but I also feel in a lot of ways, many people have realized how ridiculous they are. That one woman was sooooo illogical. I think its pretty rare to get the ‘freedom to kill your daughter’ argument nowadays, although its probably not all gone away. But the audience ate that up like it was a real point. I know we have a lot of shouting heads shows on the news now, but that was another level.
Bunch of name calling and ad homs too “why would I listen to you when your dressed like a clown” or whatever he said. haha

haha I forgot about that. I always wondered why they did that on Ron Paul. Probably because they understood Ron Paul wouldn’t use the government arm to punish Cohen for something like that.
Great video. I don’t know why he went on that terrible show, but the people were sure stupid. Hahaha, the guy yells at him for wanting end the war on drugs while he puffs a cigarette the entire time.
