I saw the post asking for conversion book recommendations. I’d rather leave a CD out with mp3s on it.
I’m new to the forum, but I’ve been soaking up the Media offered here at mises.org for quite some time. I find that I like to listen using a player that can speed up play-back. Also an hour and a half is a bit much for a car commute and to find where you left off can be challenging. I am not one to look a gift horse in the mouth, though.
I think a single clearly labeled (with the word FREE) mp3 CD of a specific set of lectures or seminars aimed at dispelling misconceptions about libertarian and american history would be cheap and easy to distribute on a guerilla level if that were deemed appropriate. If so, I’m looking for opinions on the following:
(Is such a distribution appropriate?)
Which media are most introductory and best suited candidates for such a distribution?
Is it proper to modify the audio to play at 1.4x speed, break it up into tracks?
Is there already a best practices spread the word thread created?

It would be great to have a greatest audio hits list.
That’s a bit of a project, but it would make sense. Most audio books are not in such long segments per file.
No best practices spread the word thread (yet). We’re just in the last couple months starting to see more discussion of tangible activism for spreading libertarianism and austrian economics.
Also, thought I would add that there are many organizations who do this very effectively already. Documentary filmmaker Alex Jones comes to mind. When his videos are released, he encourages people to burn them and distribute, as well as to put them up on Google video and Youtube.
Alex might be a kook and melodramatic but he knows how to market his material in a grassroots fashion.
