Just introducing myself to the community. I’ve been coming to the website for a couple of years now, and always find the articles very interesting. I’m working my way through Human Action right now, up to Volume 3 in the Liberty edition. Fascinating reading, particularly in the context of the economy as it is now.
I’ve leaned towards the “Austrian school” ever since I became interested in politics and economics as a teenager. Mises seems more important now than ever as national economies move closer and closer to nationalization and involvement in free enterprise. Being an Australian citzen, the most egregious, outrageous, example for me is the current government’s decision to go ahead with a costly white-elephant of a scheme, the National Broadband Network.
On a personal note, I work in the economics/finance field in New York.
