When you really think about it, all government can do is take away your life, liberty and property.
What appears to be a helping hand is just a reallocation of those stolen goods.
Maybe to truly evolve, like the intelligent beings that observe us , we have to rid ourselves of this evil, destructive idea of “government”.
Government is greater than a scheme. It is an institution that takes away life, liberty and property.

A few month ago a friend of mine knowledgable in jewish history was telling me that israel was anarchic at the time of the ‘judges’.

the question is: has there ever been a society that had government that did not collapse into oblivion?
And the reason, according to the bible, they wanted a king was because they wouldn’t listen to God anymore and said they would only listen to Saul profess about God. They wanted a mediator, a third party. You know, cause Obama is better…
When you see that the state creates nothing, and can only re-allocate, then you realize that it is strictly an argument betweencommand economy vs. market economy. And then the question is, who knows better than you how you should spend your money? What you value, and what you do not?
Legally, the state is a fiction. There is no such thing as a state, only a gang of thieves. With sovereign immunity, they are not compelled to deliver on any portion of their half of the social contract, most of us did not and would not sign anyways.

How did this scheme get started?
The first person, smart enough to figure out how to control others through psychological manipulation, was the one who figured out that government is a superior racket to just about any other.
While liberty student is correct, I think there were some intelligent writers and philosophers who advocated the implementation of the state in all honesty and did intend for it to be a racket/scam.
Surely you know already, but John Locke, Jean-Jacques Rousseau, etc… were the men who developed the modern day government idea (with influence from Platonic and Aristotelean political philsophy I suppose.)
Then these anarchists came around and told everybody they were wrong, but people were too brainwashed to believe it for a second! But I have read a small amount of libertarian literature seeing as I am bogged down with astronomy books for my coursework.

Now, Jewish tradition also contributes establishment of Religion ( as opposed to Faith, which all characters of Bible had).

Another explanation is that government has its origins in chattel slavery.
The current system of debt/tax slavery is much more effective than pure chattel slavery.
Over time, the master managed to get his position codified into law and brainwashed his slaves into accepting his legitimacy.
I believe the state is a symbiosis between violent thieves and scam artists. I make the case for this, citing Rothbard, in my post The Sword and the Lie.
An interesting question is, who came first the violent thief or the scam artist?

However, I believe the scam artist actually came first, in the form of a cultist. I believe the first mega-cult occurred in the Sumerian city-state of Eridu. The temple came first; the first palace was a military spin-off of the temple. Together the temple and the palace comprised the first state. I make the case for this in my post Cradle of the State. Now the temple priests are replaced by technocrats, academics, journalists, and teachers. The palace kings and soldiers are replaced by politicians, law enforcement officers, and the military.
