Is the West too spoiled/pampered to survive this second Great Depression

I mean through their access to easy credit. When the credit stops coming in does the West have the wherewithal to survive, as opposed to the emerging third World whose citizens have already experienced depression like economies for generations.

In general, I would say yes. The Western World is vehemently against cutting spending and real change. Even aside from the depression, the U.S still has to deal with its transfer programs and how all the them will bankrupt America. They won’t really cut spending, they will dabble with taxes but in the end just print money to finance it.

As much as any other humans in the same situation I would think. The “West” survived the Great Depression.
