LOL - I never broke $30K even when I was working full-time until after I finished college. How out of touch are these people? They land a $350K cable anchor contract and now they think $30K is “college student income”? Are they stupid? Do their brains shrink in proportion to their income?

No. I guarantee if you just stopped that bitch on the street and asked her how much an average college student makes, she’d probably give you the correct answer that they are broke as a joke and have quite a bit of debt.
I think it was pretty evident Paul bashing. She need to marginalize the fact that he was doing so well, so she has to marginalize the demographic. And of course, what’s the default way to marginalize Paul’s support? “It’s all just a bunch of college kids who want to smoke pot and are in their ‘fight the Man’ stage”.
The obvious problem is Paul’s support goes well beyond that…he takes roughly 42% of the under-40 vote. Think about that. This is not just “pot-smoking college kids”.
It’s possible she was trying to say that young people largely make up that demographic, and by accident she included college kids because she knows that a lot of college kids support Ron Paul. Normally, I would give the benefit of the doubt. The thing is, she was specifically talking about the 30k-50k demographic, not just young people in general. And she repeatedly stated that it was college kids making 30k-50k. One time could have been a mistake, but in her case she just kept repeating that bullshit.
Headline on Drudge: “TAX RATE SHOULD BE ZERO” with a picture of Ron Paul. The article the he links to is actually titled “Remaining Republican presidential candidates spar at South Carolina debate”. The headline Drudge gave it is almost entirely irrelevant to the article itself, with only two sentences having to do with his headline:

Drudge headlines are quite often not the main subject of the article they link to. That’s a large part of his whole popularity. He knows how to write a headline.
