i am not an advocate for war and it is not libertarian. but killing less civilians/innocents is superior to killing more ceteris parabis. also if the troops were in a voluntary army, and were voluntarily funded, then defending some territory by sitting at the edge of it and and the territory of a possible aggressor does not strike me as unlibertarian. I am espousing a defence strategy. one need not employ the word ‘war’ to describe this. since there is no offensive element, or struggle to dominate the other. contrast with ‘war’
