I would like to establish a hypothetical situation based on a television show [ oh yes it is quite intellectually stimulating to choose a tv show ] and see the morality we can deduce from this situation. For those of you who do not know what La Femme Nikita is, it is a women who witnesses a murder of a police officer and is blamed for the crime. She is sent to jail with the death penality however she is recruited into a secret organization of assassins who ‘fight evil’ in ways that look evil in themselves [ torture, murder, extortion etc. ] However, she must do this or she faces death. What are the moral deductions we can make about this situation? Is she wrong in killing to stay alive? Is it wrong to murder for a higher good?
[ I hope people can see that this is a fun hypothetical that can hopefully give us relaxtion from the everyday grind ]
