I am doing some ‘for fun’ research on the period between the Panic of 1907 and the creation of the Federal Rerserve. Anyway, I am reading about an address given by Secretary of the Treasury Leslie Shaw in Indianapolis somewhere around Dec 12-14, 1909 (though likely the 14th). The address is referred to in the Washington Times as “the strongest presentation of the arguments against the central bank that has been made.”
Not looks for a Leslie Shaw primer
