The Support musicians sympathetic to liberty! thread got me thinking about a general lack of “libertarian” artwork available. My reading room is pretty much just a plain white room with a comfy chair in it. I would, however, very much like to spruce it up with some nice prints, photos, sculptures, etc. Perhaps a cast iron Atlas for the endtable, a print of Jamie Wyeth’s portrait of Thomas Jefferson, maybe the Ama-gi? I’m open to just about anything.
The problem is finding anything that seems properly ancap/libertarian. A search for “liberty” posters yields the rah-rah-American-flag-eagle-flying images of liberty which I’m not interested in. I supposed I could buy a Gadsden flag and frame that. Searching for “anarchy” yields labor-movement type artwork and “capitalism” gives me plenty of pigs wearing top hats. Even if there is something I know I want (the above portrait), finding the thing turns out to be far too difficult than it should be.
So, has anyone here successfully decorated their den in such a manner?
