Hi,
I am looking to conduct a very brief (just a few questions) e-mail interview with someone holding a Masters or Ph.D in economics that is sympathetic with the Austrian theory of business cycles. I will be using it for the interview portion of a research paper I am writing for a class and would greatly appreciate any ideas on who might fit the bill and be receptive to an e-mail request for a short interview.
It is an undergraduate class so the questions (and answers expected) will be fairly simple and shouldn’t require much effort on the interviewee’s part. The questions will deal with the effectiveness, or lack thereof, of “stimulus” plans, and how we got here in the first place.

I think Mark Thornton at LvMI could be a candidate for this. You can check the Institute’s contact info on the main site http://mises.org
I’m sure there are others, but he was the first to pop into my mind because he mentioned that part of his job is answering inquiries by mail or email iirc.
Another person might be Doug French, I’m not 100% sure of his qualifications, but he also might be able to help you, and can be accessed through the same channels as Mark.
Bob Murphy and Walter Block come to mind.
I agree, Professor Murphy would probably be your best bet.

I’ve emailed Prof. Murphy before and he responded rather quickly, so that’s who I would email if I were you.
Just finished sending him one and plan to wait a day or so for a response before attempting the others. I would be thrilled if he agrees. I own his book: Politically Incorrect Guide to Capitalism, and love it.
