Hello,

I’m not sure if any of you are aware of this article.

Anyway, I’m pretty hardcore libertas, so I’m not that crash hot on medicare/socialised universal healthcare or whatever. But I thought It was an interesting problem that committing crime, and the resultant imprisonment can be a rational decision, as it apparently is for this man.

I can’t really think of any way to resolve this. Prisoners should be treated ethically and receive appropriate health care. Health care should not be socialised. So therefore it is rational decision for otherwise helpless individuals to commit crimes?

What do you think?

I think it shows how awful government involvement in our healthcare industry has been.

Government involvement and coporatism(ie more government involvement) have increased the cost of medicine and adjuncts (drugs, medical technology,… ).

Bottom line, healthcare would be more affordable if wasn’t for intervention.

Oh no, it would be free!

Be careful what you wish for. You are better off getting married for health insurance.
