Interesting video about economic growth since the industrial revolution:
Intellectual Freedom and Learning versus Patent and Copyright (by Stephan Kinsella)
Best explanation against intellectual property I’ve seen so far.
Honestly, I think the words “anarchy” and “anarchism” are far beyond saving at this point and even the words “capitalism” and “libertarianism” I find highly problematic in conversation with most people. There are certain pre-conceived notions of what those things mean that are nigh impossible to root out of peoples’ heads.
I’ve been trying to use terms like “emergent society” or “polycentric law”. It seems to slow people down in throwing up mental barriers when you use unfamiliar phrases rather than ones they think they understand and have already rejected.
I think we’re always going to face hostility when arguing for the abolition of the state and the creation of a competitive system of law. It’ll never be easy. Whether you use the word anarchy or not, people believe that absent the state there is only chaos. Rather than mask ourselves, let’s embarce it so we can adress their prejucides head on.

Oh snap!
Awwwww! At first I thought you meant Janet Napolitano!
Anarchy being discussed on state controlled tv?
“Napolitano comes out in favor of anarchy”
I think Ron Paul will openly come out in favour of voluntarism, anarcho-capitalism when he retires. His last parting speech. Would anyone like to make any bets? ![]()
“Upped by Conza.”
Thanks mate. ![]()
I can keep listening to this epic rant over and over again.. haha.
Oh my god. Anarchy on Fox News…
AW YEEE! There is hope for humankind! =D

I hope Paul does it. As I said in another post, if he runs and starts getting more attention (I think his vote count will skyrocket with the amount of people sick of spending), some left-wing outlets will do some digging and figure out his connections to the Austrian School, and then stumble upon his association with Lew Rockwell and Murray Rothbard. These guys will be turned into the Reverend Wrights of the Paul campaign, but I bet many more people will join the anarcho-libertarian movement and we’ll be better off for it.
But Paul is inching ever close to do just that. With his “opt-out” proposal, some people are calling him nuts, but he’s starting to show his true stripes

When questioning that kid, he should have pointed out more directly that the opposition to his argument is suffering from the delusion that they actually get to choose between a $3.00 an hour job and a $10.00 an hour job instead of a $3.00 an hour job and a $0.00 an hour job.
