Max Keiser - opinions please

I discovered this guy named Max Keiser today. He was a stock broker, and is famous for his exposing Wall Street’s “weapons of financial mass destruction”.

He has “On the Edge” and the “Keiser Report”. See U-tube.

In 2007, he made this video “Money Geyser” about the Iceland bubble, which crashed in October, 2008. The video contains a good explanation of the carry trade and its role in creating asset bubbles. He seemed to be way ahead of the curve at the time, similar to Peter Schiff.

His recent shows seem good too, he explained the the 10% afternoon stock market crash on May 6th as financial WMD’s being unleashed due to the Senate finance bill that was being considered.

Is any one familiar with Max Keiser? Opinions?

I believe Peter Schiff was on his show a short while ago. I believe he is generally regarded as solid by libertarians. I don’t know him really myself. It’s hard to take an interest in people who don’t clearly align themselves with the Austrian school or rugged libertarianism.

I just finished watching Part 2 of “Money Geyser”. Keiser’s analysis and prediction about what was going to happen was spot on over a year before the Iceland meltdown, and the world’s meltdown too.

The latest Keiser Report featured a guest who sounded very Austrian to me (ignoring the beginning of the interview where they talk about “consumer protection”).
