As I’ve never been to a Mises event, I have a couple questions about how these things work :
Are there any requirements for registration (other than the fee, of course)? I’m not a student, or an economics professional. I just study economics as a hobby.
Is this a formal event? What’s the “dress code”? If I show up in a t-shirt, shorts, and a baseball cap, will I be scorned, outcast, or flogged?

The dress code is business casual, which means that khaki pants, a button up shirt (polo shirt is fine as well), and dress shoes will suffice. Anything less than that and you will be under-dressed compared to everyone else. I went to San Francisco Mises Circle and was surprised to see that even the college kids wore dress pants and dress shirts, while some wore suits. Keep in minds that is not a informal event, it is more of a professional event.
P.s. The only person who can get away with wearing a suit with a tee shirt is Thomas DiLorenzo.
Can I still apply for a student scholarship for the Newport Beach event? I can drive there the morning of (even if I have to leave San Diego at 5AM).
I’m thinking of going to that even too. I’m pretty sure you can still apply for the student scholarship, but you should do it ASAP.
What about Q1? Is it required that I be a student or economics professional?
If you have money, you’re good to go.
