Murray Rothbards memory

I read an article by gary north http://lewrockwell.com/north/north1148.html and it mentions rothbard having amazing memory and reading abilities, i think i also remember hearing a similar anecdote about rothbard from jeffrety tucker in some lecture.

there have been cases before of people having amazing recall before but never has it been to such a good use, is this purely a gift from god or can such a talent be cultivated somehow

and even if we accept that his memory capacity was innate then i still dont buy it that people are born with a gene for speedreading.

so how did rothbard do it?

He was really smart and he read and wrote a lot.

i dont really want books on mnemonics or speedreading, i was merely wondering that perhaps he himself had elaborated on his powers. maybe not in print but during discussions with some of his students or friends
