Need a topic for US Aircraft Industry in WWII paper.

ANy ideas for perhaps an Austrian perspective on the Aircraft Industry in the United States during World War II. (History class, but economic interpretations are welcome) 15pg paper double spaced.

Brainstormed these-

The US Aviation Industry was going to be the worlds best/largest with out the US entering the war.anyways with a bust at the end of it

or

How Boeing and Lockheed did X and Y

The professor is looking for a conflict and me taking a side and exploring it . Aside from the old war is good for the economy myth, anything up for debate in the Aircraft Industry in this period?

How about the decline of the passenger aircraft manufacturing business in the USA after WW2. Prior to WW2 the USA led the way but afterwards there was a decline in the number and types of aircraft manufacturered by US companies. Contrast that with Airbus and the newer companies in Canada, Brazil and China.
