need your help

Hi

Im hux, i live in Australia where Libertarianism is not really know(at least where i live), yet =D that is.

I have decided that i need to start spreading the word around the neighbourhood. I have already changed the opinions of my family members in opposing socialism and big government.

Now its time for me to talk to people out in my area about what life could be like with less government.

Some of the things that changed me into becoming a Libertarian was reading ‘Human Action’, and some of the revelations i grappled with was that

  • 51% of the population could decide how the other 49% could live.

  • That the government think they know how you should raise your children better than we do.

  • That government cannot create money or anything without it coming from another person involuntarily, and that health is not free.

  • and of-course freedom of speech

These are just some of the ideas i would like to spread around with flyers in peoples letter boxes and one on one on the street. So what i would like help with, is in advice on how i should write these ideas so to get people the most amount of people interested so they go out and find out more about libertarianism. Perhaps when i have all my ideas ready someone could go over it for me.

So what do you think???

For the freedom of speech part, I would recommend you read this.

Congrats on bringing the truth to the rest of your family members and wanting to spread the message.

Activism is good, just don’t stop learning - [:)]

Just throwing out some ideas:

  1. educate yourself really well

  2. put on the flyers provocative bullet points, and then end with saying you have started a discussion group every Tuesday night [say].

  3. Have a talk on one topic each week, with Q and A time. Be prepared to say “that’s a really good q, I don’t know the answer tonight, and it will start off next weeks discussion.” Then find out the answer.

  4. serve coffee maybe

  5. those bullet points might be the very ones you put in your post
