New version of Human Action?

Take a look at this:

It looks like LVMI has designed a new cover for Human Action. Did I miss something?

Anyway, I think this new cover looks much, much better than the previous one with all those cubes. Terrific job to all involved!

Yeah. It does look new.

Well, as the recent blog post has confirmed, it is indeed new.

Hmm, I’m in two minds. I kinda liked the old one…

But still, the Libertarian Forum for $30!

Ah, nice. They finally made a blog post about it.

I’m glad I waited to get Human Action because this cover is a lot better.

I bought the blue-cover version for $15.

Me too! I got mine in the mail today. I thought my order didn’t go through because the store crashed as I submitted my order, but apparently it did. It’s the best version of Human Action ever printed. The most beautiful too, with the possible exception of this: http://www.flickr.com/photos/fling93/210745783/sizes/l/

Anyone know what the story is behind that leather edition?

Same here, although I already had the beige-colored edition.

A book that is blue…how atrocious. White books are superior!

Hey man, didn’t you get the memo? It’s all about the green books these days.

I prefer the old colour, I’m glad I got the beige version.

I got mine today too.

Speaking of covers, LM, I really enjoy these two:

This thread wouldn’t be complete without the covers in question:

2009 Human Action

2010 Human Action

I prefer the 2009 cover over the 2010 cover.

I got the brown one right before all of the sales and am happy with it. The new cover looks pretty bad IMO. I think if Mr. Tucker put up a little contest to design the cover of the next edition, we would have one with far superior typography and layout. Anyhow, the contents are great, and that is more important =)

I feel like such a book fetishist for doing this, but whatever. Here are some other HA covers, just for reference:

1999 Scholar’s Edition

Liberty Fund Edition

Hideous Paperback Edition

Third Revised Edition

Does anyone know what the first edition cover looked like? I have actually held one in my hands once, but my university library had (blasphemy!) replaced the cover.

My copy of the law doesn’t look like that one. The background scene is shifted to the right a bit, zoomed in, and Bastiat’s name is enclosed in a blue block. But I agree, it’s one of my favorite paperback covers. And Grey’s Anatomy has fantastic illustrations.

Here’s my abridged version, eventually I used the pdf to read the full version but I’d like to buy it but a book that good really should be in French, at least for the price they want.

I’m quite fond of the cover they gave Alexander Gray’s book

I have a first edition of it so its just drab green but I like this one. The huddled masses shielding themselves from ambiguous doom that surrounds them. Throwing their hands in the air as a last exerted effort to free themselves from the environment being imposed upon them or at the very least an attempt to plea for a reason why, why such a fate should befall them, what did they do to deserve such destruction. It reminds me of socialism.
