Oh No: Ron Paul Slips to #26

In case anybody missed this on the LRC blog…

Oh No: Ron Paul Slips to #26Posted by Lew Rockwell on August 28, 2009 09:37 AM

End the Fed is down to #26 on the Amazon non-fiction bestseller list, behind Glenn Beck, Michelle Malkin, Teddy Kennedy, Mark Levin, and Bill O’Reilly! And Amazon may start shipping sooner than the official publication date, so we have our work cut out for us to debut at #1. But it can be done, and we cannot let Ron and the cause of sound money down. Please help spread the message of the book bomb. We can do it. We can support Ron Paul and liberty, and give Ben Bernanke a hotfoot!

Just bought my copy today. Let’s get it to #1 on the NY Times bestseller list!

I think his book has slipped quite a bit more than that. On the day of the book bomb, IIRC, End the Fed peaked at about #13 on the overall bestsellers list. Now it’s at number 57. It’s being clobbered by such gems as Twilight, various Ted Kennedy books, and Glenn Beck. All of these other books are amongst the greatest literature ever written. Apparently. Oh well, at least I can do my part by ordering a copy. I don’t think I’ve ever read any of RP’s books before.

I don’t like how this book bomb has been planned by Lewrockwell… shouldn’t a single day have been set? At the moment, people are buying books all spaced out over several days so it’s hard to propel it to #1.

Is the book even out yet?

It’s a pre-order book bomb. The point is to try to get it to debut at #1.

Will buying this book get me girls? Because I tried Robert Murphy’s advice about Austrian economics…but no girls [:(]

Lew Rockwell does not have a monopoly on promoting Ron Paul’s book. I and some friends have done a lot of promotion already, and plan to do more. Don’t wait for marching orders or complain about command decisions. Become your own leader. Plan your own. That’s how the market works.

Update: Ron Paul’s End the Fed is at #18 in all books.

Ron is the most prominent spokesperson for the anti-Fed movement right now, so buying his book will help propel the issue to the mainstream of public debate. This will have positive implications for liberty all over the world (which is why I’m so passionate even though I live in Australia).

It must have been my copy that propelled it that far.[:P] Not only do I get to actively support Ron Paul, but I also get to support Lew Rockwell by buying through his links to Amazon. Now let’s hope that it makes it, at the very least, into the top 10 on release.
