If you shoot and kill a government cop, you get the death penalty or, at least, life in prison. If a government cop shoots and kills you, he gets 5 to 10 years for involuntary manslaughter.

Trial by peers, indeed–more like trial by the state. The state controls what evidence can be admitted, the state controls who can be a juror, the state controls the acceptable verdicts.
Little wonder that Mehserle got off with such a light penalty for murder.

Oh and just for the record: Oscar Grant got out of prison 4 months before his death. He has a long and violent criminal record. Bart usually closes at midnight. Bart stayed running until 3/am on New Year’s eve to accommodate revellers. Oscar and his homies created a mini riot actually a gang fight at the Frutivale station. Bart police were called. The rioters refused to calm down. Oscar took it upon himself to get in the face of the officers.
Oscar is the type of career criminal who eventually gets three strikes and spends the rest of his life in prison or gets killed by either police or his homies or a rival gang.
Oscar did have a fast food job. He did visit his illegitimate child and baby mama when he was released from prison. So the media is doing its usual fill in the blanks template stories of this wonderful young man who was turning his life around and actually visitiing his child. And working! Actually, working was a condition of parole.

Do you think private owners of transport will somehow be more ‘liberal’ in allowing thugs of this kind to use their service? If anything the state is more lenient in allowing troublemakers to use its services, because of the obvious claims of ‘racism’ that would result if they actually bothered to deal with said troublemakers.
Private owners would have no such scruples thankfully.

The fine, upstanding Oscar tried to go for a cop’s gun, Mehserle tried to go for his taser, instead he drew his gun (similarities in shape and weight) and fired. They have video evidence documenting his horror as he realized he’d actually employed his gun instead of the taser.
Of course all of this is race baiting and conveniently ignores that blacks murder whites in their thousands every year (yet the media never raises so much as a peep over those matters), largely due to the fact race baiting cultural marxists such as those crying for this guy’s blood convince them all their problems in life are caused by whites. But hey, if you want to attach yourself to those kinds of people, go for it, just remember though that no matter how self-hating and anti-white you are - It’s not good enough for them.
