Patinkin vs Mises

I recently bought Patinkin’s book on price theory, where he tries to integrate monetary and value theory. He critisizes Mises at several points in the book, and generally writes within the Hicksian framework laid out in Value and Capital. I haven’t been able to read Patinkin’s book carefully yet (busy, and I have other books on the waiting list), but I’m wondering if Mises ever responded anywhere, or if any Austrian had paid any credence to Patinkin’s writing.

Patinkin’s book, in any case, is the first non-Austrian book that I’ve seen that tries to explain the role of money in society, as opposed to explaining a mechanical process of price formation (your usual micro textbook). Tbf, Patinkin’s book is the first non-Austrian book on the topic I’ve really looked at (I also have D. Friedman’s book, but that’s more of a micro textbook).

Rothbard makes an interesting critical comment on p. 276-77 of MES in a footnote, regaring Patinkin’s critique of Mises’ regression theorem.
