PIN THE TAIL ON THE DONKEY

Fractional reserve banking is the root cause of the economic displacements we suffer from. Of course hardly anyone outside of here believe that claim.

Bankers helped shape banking laws and we’ve been living under it for so long no one dares question it. It is high time we exposed its fragile, leveraged nature.

The Federal Reserve building lends an air of strength and repectability but let’s see how it tries to cope with a good ol’ fashion bank run the likes of which it has never seen.

This coming Monday let us all go to our banks and withdraw all of our money.

Any thoughts on what would happen?

If we all take our money out of the banks on Monday then by Wednesday you’ll be afraid to leave your home or answer your door. By Saturday, you’ll be wishing you bought more guns and ammo…

I’m afrid to say, the fact that we are able to have this discussion in a virtual forum, that you and I have not just computers, but an infrastructure that supports our communication, not to mention the electricity, the houses we’re in (do you have a mortgage, a credit card, a car loan, a college loan…) is due to the fact that fractional reserve banking is something we have ALL availed ourselves to. Basic economics - where there is demand, even for an illict good that carries punitive consequences, there will be a supply…

it’s high time, but not to blame our supplier, but rather ourselves for wanting to live fragile, leveraged lives. What there is right now, is not simply a gluttony of debt, but also a paucity of responsibility. The crime is that this paucity is now being underwritten by a so-called conservative govt that will tell the common man he his is own keeper but will mother those who hide inside steel and glass behemoth buildings and come rushing to their aid when she hears them cry in dark.

Cheers
