Plank 8

“Equal liability of all to labour”. This is plank 8 from the Communist Manifesto. What’s your interpretation of it?

When I read of Marx advocating the abolition of private property, I thought that there existed a potential loophole for his advocates to exploit–namely that Marx really only meant the abolition of private property as it relates to land and not of self-ownership in itself.

This plank, however, gets me thinking. It couldn’t be this obvious, could it?

Hey, its not called a ‘dictatorship of the proletariat’ for nothing…

Meh, the CM never impressed me. It has a snazzy front cover design, however.
