We can then follow up with watching it a billion times to make it one of the most popular videos. I was thinking along the lines of how our current HealthCare system is broken because it is precisely NOT operated in the Freemarket.
The Medicine industry sells drugs not to individuals but instead to healthcare providers. The individual’s ability to choose and purchase medicine of his/her choice is stifled. Business operations are squelched as the state mandates healthcare to full time employees while at the same time forcing a minimum wage. Limiting what labor the businesses can and cannot use. Considering this in the midst of widespread un-employment.
Any time you take the individual out of the purchase process you get shambles. The fact that they are so confused by this is insane. Notice how the Auto industry has insurance but does not suffer the same problems. Your insurance doesn’t tell you what kind of car to buy. We don’t have nationally provided car insurance.
What about the acknowledged cartels with close ties to the FDA amongst drug companies? What about close ties and conflicts of interest between Insurance Companies and leading drug companies like pfizer? What about employees of the FDA who switch back and forth between FDA employment and leading drug company employment on a regular basis?
All of the ingredients to make the system not work have been put in place. Instead of addressing the actual causation we have simply added more icing on the cake and have ignored everything which is hurting the system as is.

Any how the topic gets me all heated and I speak irrationally. My Dad passed away in October with Cancer. When we went to our Chemo sessions we discovered the chemo drugs he was taking cost somewhere between 6-15k per 16oz bag. He would go through about 3 a day. That’s a pretty big lump sum of cash for 1 patient for 5 hours. This doctor’s office however could not even afford a small TV for the 6 hour session. Meanwhile all the doctors were enjoying brand new crocs (un-sightly things) from the drug company as a thanks for selling their product.
At any rate according to the doctor I talked to they never see this incredible amount of money that goes into the drugs. They simply charge for the service. Occasionally the drug company would toss them a bone (Free crocs).
