Prices and Production - Hayek

can anyone give me an advice, or recommend any guide on how to read the book “Prices and Production” by hayek? It seems like he’s just talking about random things to me, LOL. He starts from talking about money then suddenly jumps to talking about people or experience in life that has nothing to do with previous topic that he was just talking about.

I find Mises and Rothbard’s book easy to read. The study guide for “HUMAN ACTION” and " MAN ECONOMY AND STATE" made these two books easier to understand. But even without the study guides, I probably would still understand them.

I heard that Hayek’s “Price and Production” book is one of his most important work, but the way he writes his book makes it hard to understand. It seems like Hayek wanted to jump from one topic to another without clearly explaining the previous one. Why can’t he just focus on one topic, finish explaining, then move on to the next one. Why can’t he just do that? LOL

It is a collection of essays if i am not mistaken. Some may be on pretty different topics. I have it for my kindle, but have been knocking it down my reading list as of late.

Jacob is correct. It seems “jumpy” because it is not a single work like Human Action or Man, Economy, and State (MES). It is a collection of writings completed over a number of years.

You may do well to get through some other works first. Did you actually make it all the way through H.A. and MES? You might look into these recommendations and start with some of those.
