I think I indicated the fallacy of trying to interpret what is not said, and determine intent solely on your own perception as fallacy. Maybe I can skip those classes.
Is that a threat? I’m trying to figure out how to become a stateless person, and you really believe that some threat to dismiss me on the internet is going to mean anything? The internet tough guy routine is so 1999.
I don’t think I could make you do anything you do not want to do. For example, I have been trying to make you smarter and better at debate, and that attempt has gone miserably thus far.
You didn’t; you don’t even know how to properly identify a fallacy. So spare me your bumbling.
No. And I know that you’re stinging from that, since you think I’m playing some tough-guy persona. This is how I am, and either you learn to argue properly or you should refrain from it. It’s just that simple, kid.
Your mother was a hamster and your father smelt of elderberries!
Why not take some personal responsibility and spare yourself? Just log off! [:)]
I don’t think you are playing. You probably were captain of the football team and trained to fight on the mean streets. The problem is, unless you want to bash your keyboard on your monitor, it’s just hilarious posturing. Actually, that would be pretty funny too.
You should post tough guy pictures of yourself on the forum. “KB’s kickass pic thread!”
If an unpleasant odor is an act of aggression, then everyone has an obligation not to have B.O. or fart in the presence of anyone else. That’s absurd. Unless physical harm can be proven, the offense is in the realm of minutiae, in which the law has no place.
I am familiar with what the “problem of externalities” is. Jesus, I even read that exchange between Block and Demsetz - not recommended, to high alternative cost:P
I just don’t think there is anything in there that would disprove my point. I don’t like the word, but let’s say this is an externality. Easily internalized through the market process. So what? Be a good sport and elaborate a bit. Pretty please.
And yet you haven’t shown that what you wrote is relevant. So it might affect “property value”…so what? Have you shown that there is a right to any specific property value? No. Have you shown that doing something which might negatively affect someone’s subjective estimations while in no way affecting the physical integrity or state of some item is a property right violation? No.
So I’m not going to disprove your unproven assertions.
Unless damage has been or is being done, no force is justified. But if a person accidentally causes damage to another’s property, they still owe them for that damage. No, intention is entirely irrelevant.
If gagging and vomiting are involved, then there is a case for physical harm, and hence aggression.
But I claim, that it does affect physical integrity. Smells are not purely subjective creations of the mind. They are physical entities, trespassing in my lungs, on my land, whatever. And then you said - to put it short - “externalities, moron!” So I repeat my question - how does the “externalities problem” disprove that smells my claim, that smells are physical entities. Elaborate a bit about what you ment in the “externalities moron” post.
Didn’t it? If you are right, and it didn’t, I can drop of my trash at your place. You can throw it out yourself, so no physical integrity or location of your property changed. Hey, some of it is biodegradable, so you don’t even have to throw it out, it’ll disappear an become part of the land by itself in some time. So at least that must be ok, right? Cool. I’ll remember that.
Some strange view on violating property rights you have.
.
Of course you did, dropping of those small pieces of extrements at my place. Don’t worry, the cost of pursuing you and getting you too pay up is to high.
Ridiculous. A person has a right to perform necessary bodily functions as a self-owner, and thus another person has no right to prevent them from doing so. You can only prevent their actually committing the act on your property.
If you say a fart violates your rights, you are saying that you own the gastrointestinal tract of another person. From a libertarian standpoint, that is indefensible.
Not the fart, man, fart as much as you want, use your gastrointestinal, and God bless you.
But just the same as you cannot drop a load on my place, while at the same time not actually standing on my land (easy:P), you shouldn’t drop smaller particles of extrements - a fart. Don’t worry that much about it, people are compassionate enough not to kill the farter.
But wait, does this mean, that you agree with the rest of my posts? Just the ownership of gastrointestinals was a problem? lol.
I do hope Knight will be back…
I’ll get back to you guys tomorrow, it’s WAY past bed time in my time-zone;)
