Question - Truth about the 14th Amendment

I read with interest Thomas J. DiLorenzo article highlighting the case to repeal the 14th amendment. While the article is quite informative with respect to revealing the hypocrisy and deceit surrounding its passage, regrettably it does little more than conclude that the 14th amendment has “had precisely the effect that its supporters intended it to have: it has greatly centralized power in Washington, D.C., and has subjected Americans to the kind of judicial tyranny that Thomas Jefferson warned about” yet it fails to provide any detail explaining the way in which this amendment accomplishes these nefarious ends. Disappointingly, while I understand that the author is elucidating the fact that the express elimination of racial discrimination in the constitution (a virtuous aim in and of itself) was not the actual motivation behind this amendment but in fact was and remains little more than a disingenuous false cloak designed to mislead the public about the actual substance and impact of this amendment. I would appreciate any response citing the language within the amendment which serves to effectuate and support DiLorenzo’s judicial tyranny conclusion. Thank-you for your consideration.
